Esency — Artist Bio

Born and raised in the Bronx, Esency is a self-made artist-producer whose multicultural influences and melodic instincts shape a sound that moves across genres without ever losing its identity. His music blends the emotion of R&B, the charisma of hip hop, the rhythm of dancehall, and the warmth of Latin music.

His journey began in high school, where a music class introduced him to FL Studio and sparked his passion for production. What started as beat-making evolved into songwriting when he realized the emotion in his voice connected deeply with listeners.

While DJ’ing in college, he discovered reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean-influenced rhythms that shaped his breakout record “She Want It.” Since then, he has released tracks like So What, Sprung, Bronx Whine, and full projects like EXE and Nada Personal, all produced and written by him.

As an independent artist, Esency has surpassed 100k streams on a single record, earned radio placements, and performed across New York, including SOB’s — a stage visited by hip-hop legends. Fans frequently tell him they’ve been listening to his music long before realizing he’s the artist behind it.

Known for improvising and building songs from pure emotion, Esency blends production and songwriting into a single flow. His themes reflect confidence, nightlife, heartbreak, growth, and the raw experiences of young adulthood.

Today, he continues expanding his fanbase while allowing the music and community to guide the next chapter — one record at a time.
